Climate change, ethics, responsibility and the pursuit of climate justice

Climate change, the specter haunting our collective future, is not a distant threat but a present reality, its tendrils reaching into and affecting every corner of the globe. As we stand at this precipice, the question that echoes across continents and generations is not “if” we must act and act swiftly, but “how?” How do we navigate the ethical labyrinth of climate responsibility, untangling the threads of individual action, corporate accountability, and global climate justice?

The first thread we must grapple with is the stark reality of inaction. Each passing day, each ton of carbon released, tightens the noose around our planet’s neck.

As leading climate scientist Dr. James Hansen chillingly states, “The planet is not on a path to sustainability. We are on a path to disaster.”
